I recently (back in May) got a newer iPod. Up until then I had an iPod Mini (old school baby) from way back in 2005. It did it's job well, but I was never able to keep all my songs in it. There just wasn't enough room. So I went from a 4GB Mini to an 80GB iPod Video.
Granted, I will never have over 20,000 songs which this thing can hold, but at least now I can hold every album on it rather then only a select few 'favorites' from each of my CDs that I've collected over the years.
I'm so glad I got it too because now I have gotten reacquainted with some of my favorite bands along with their lesser known songs that are greats. One band in particular has peaked my interest as of late and that band is Oasis. I know you're surprised aren't you since the name of the band was no where to be seen until now. I'm clever like that. I like to hold you in suspense. What? It was in the title? Oh...
Anyway, Oasis is a great band and I don't think they get enough props here in the USofA. I asked my good friend Liz, who lives in Ireland if Oasis was popular over there in Europe and she said they were very much so. I am glad to hear it, but wish we Americans appreciated the band as much as our fellow Europeans do.
To state boldly, Oasis is not just a cheap knockoff of the Beatles. This is 100% false and any American who thinks so is a moron. They are also not just a few 'hit' wonders with hits such as "Wonderwall," "Champagne Supernova" and "Don't Go Away"...
There are so many songs that I will admit I forgot that are wonderful from this band. Each album is different and wonderful. "Going Nowhere" for instance, (what I am currently listening to) is great. One of my favorites at the moment is "Half the World Away"...
Some others to consider:
"Some Might Say"
"Talk Tonight"
"Morning Glory"
"All Around the World"
I'm not a music junkie at all. I usually am a person who likes this song or that song from an album, but never the whole album. There are only a few bands that I can listen to the whole album and go, "Yeahhhh." Oasis, thankfully is once again one of those bands.
I am grateful of my new iPod and this re-discovery of a great great band...
