Hello folks,
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Nik and I am 27 years old. I work for the National Passport Center in Portsmouth, NH as a Passport Specialist. I have a wife and soon to be two kids. My wife, Pam is 28 and a 5th grade teacher at Marshwood Great Works School. She is currently pregnant with our second child due in late October. We have been together since 1998 and married for just over 4 years now.
We live in a nice Cape in South Berwick, Maine. We just finished adding a two car garage also known as 'a cahh hole' with a mudroom and master bedroom and bath above it. We have a 2 year old son Douglass Aiden whom we call Dougie. He's a handful, but well worth any little bit of trouble he may give us.
A little bit more about myself reveals that I have a bachelor degree in Media Studies with a concentration in writing and a minor in theatre. My job as a Passport Specialist does not require the skills of a writer/actor so this is why I am starting this blog.
I will basically use this blog to answer questions I've always asked myself and never written down. These may be basic questions, thoughtful questions, insights, opinions (of course), reviews etc, etc, etc. I may discuss certain interests I have, explain more of my background or rant about something that gets my blood boiling. I have two rules:
1. I vow to try not to offend anyone
2. I will not discuss politics or religion in this forum
The reason for rule #2 is that when it comes to politics and religion people tend to be close-minded, myself included and thus will tend to break rule #1. These rules are not binding and may be broken at anytime if I see fit. I will try to stay in the middle and not force my opinion on any subject on my viewers. We all are different and that's okay...
Again this blog is simply for my own interests. Anyone who wishes to view it and even discuss it is only an added bonus for me. My goal is to post at least 4 times a week. I think that is a moderate goal to have starting out.
If you have any inquiries about myself or anything mentioned above feel free to ask and I will be sure to include it in a future post. I hope this experience is a fun one and I hope anyone who does read this enjoys the experience as well...

Good to hear from you, Nik.
Congrats on: 1.) getting married, 2.) your son, and 3.) the baby on the way.
I've added your blog to my reader/feed catcher.
I only have one request: keep it random, brutha!
